The entrance to Hawkstone Hall is from the village of Marchamley, Shropshire which is on the road from Hodnet to Whitchurch (A41). Ignore signs directing you the Hawkstone Park follies and the Golf Course.

By road from the south via the M6 going northbound

Exit the M6 (northbound) at Junction 10a which takes you onto the M54. Continue along the M54 until Junction 6 which is signed for the A518 (A422). Follow the signs for the A442 to Whitchurch. Continue along the A442 for some miles until you come to a major roundabout. Take the second exit for Hodnet. Follow the road through the village until the Bear Inn Hotel on a right-hand corner. Do not follow the main road to the right; instead, continue straight ahead at the T-junction following the sign to Whitchurch. The parish church will now be on the left of the road which you continue along for about a mile to Marchamley. Before the road turns sharply to the right, you will notice the large sign for Hawkstone Hall straight ahead, behind a small triangle of ground. This is the beginning of the mile-long drive down to the Hall.

By road from the south via the M6 Toll

Immediately after the M6 Toll merges with the M6 Northbound, move to the left-hand lane to take the next exit for the A5 Telford. Continue along the A5 to Telford for some miles until after the village of Weston, you come to the A41 Whitchurch. Follow the A41 Whitchurch until you come to the roundabout at Stoke-on–Tern. Take the first exit onto the A442 to Shrewsbury. Continue along the bypass until you come to the next major roundabout. Take the third exit (right-hand turn) to the village of Hodnet. Follow the road through the village until the Bear Inn Hotel on a right-hand corner. Do not follow the main road to the right; instead, continue straight ahead at the T-junction following the sign to Whitchurch. The parish church will now be on the left of the road which you continue along for about a mile to Marchamley. Before the road turns sharply to the right, you will notice the large sign for Hawkstone Hall straight ahead, behind a small triangle of ground. This is the beginning of the mile long drive down to the Hall.

By road from the north

Travel southbound on the M6 and take the exit, junction 19. Go right at the roundabout that crosses above the motorway following the A556 direction Northwich. Continue along the A556 until you drive through Sandiway and you arrive at a major intersection. Take the left-hand filter lane at the traffic lights onto the A49 southbound to Whitchurch. Follow the A41/A49 ring road around Whitchurch; finally follow the signs for the A41 Wolverhampton. Continue along for two miles and then take a right-hand turn onto a local road signed to Hodnet/Marchamley (signal early as this is on a slight bend). Drive along this road for about five miles until the road rises up into the village of Marchamley and there is a sharp left-hand turn (caution blind bend). At the brow, take a sharp right-hand turn around the small triangle and onto the Hawkstone Hall drive. Continue along the drive for about one mile to the Hall.

By road from the Wirral

Take the M53 southbound, direction Chester (or the A41 from Birkenhead). The motorway leads into the A55. Bypass the Chester exit and follow the signs for A41 to Whitchurch. Continue on the A41 until you arrive at the A41/A49 bypass. Follow the A41/A49 ring road around Whitchurch; finally follow the signs for the A41 Wolverhampton. Continue along for two miles and then take a right-hand turn onto a local road signed to Hodnet/Marchamley (signal early as this is on a slight bend). Drive along this road for about five miles until the road rises into the village of Marchamley and you come to a sharp left-hand turn (caution blind bend). At the brow, take a sharp right-hand turn around the small triangle and onto the Hawkstone Hall drive. Continue along the drive for about one mile to the Hall.

By road from the Liverpool/Merseyside

Follow signs for the Runcorn Bridge, south of Liverpool. Over the bridge take the left-hand lane and follow the A533 direction Northwich. Continue for few miles until you arrive at the intersection with the A49. Turn right onto the A49 travelling to Whitchurch until you arrive at the A41/A49 bypass. Follow the A41/A49 ring road around Whitchurch; finally follow the signs for the A41 Wolverhampton. Continue along for two miles and then take a right-hand turn onto a local road signed to Hodnet/Marchamley (signal early as this is on a slight bend). Drive along this road for about five miles until the road rises into the village of Marchamley and you come to a sharp left-hand turn (caution blind bend).
